SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

 

LOCATION | Scottsdale, AZ

JOB TYPE | Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Local expert well versed in “everything“ Phoenix + Scottsdale

  • Understands the wide world of hospitality + offers an experienced consultative approach to the sales process

  • Always keeps an eye on the goal, establishing budgetary guidelines + maintaining profitability expectations

  • Clearly + effectively articulates the value of a Destination Management Company

  • Earns the trust of our clients by consistently offering carefully curated meeting + event experiences that set us apart from the competition

  • Collaborates with the internal Creative Team to craft proposals that are built around each program’s specific needs + demonstrates our ability to provide progressive solutions

  • Works hard + smart to efficiently close business + ensure a seamless transition to Operations

  • Develops + nurtures local relationships with hoteliers, CVBs, + identifies additional lead-generating resources

  • Takes initiative on imagining local sales-related special projects including client events, hotelier appreciation drops, + sponsorship commitments

  • Manage + maintain existing relationships with key accounts as well as focus on new business development to maintain a strong robust pipeline of opportunities

  • Invests long-term, acting as a brand advocate to improve lifetime client values

  • Positively impacts the culture of the office with charisma, resilience, + tenacity

KNOWLEDGE + SKILLS

  • Thinks both tactically + strategically, anticipating needs + providing solutions

  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency

  • Speaks + writes persuasively + passionately

  • Local expert on hotels, venues, tours, entertainment, + all things Arizona

  • Works well as both part of a team and independently on projects that require initiative

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of hospitality (DMC or Hotel) experience

  • Two years of sales related experience preferred

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

  • Competitive annual salary (DOE) plus an uncapped commission package for all programs personally sold

  • Commission + bonus potential
