THE CHALLENGE
A longtime, loyal client sought our assistance in creating an evening event outside the confines of a ballroom. We were tasked with transforming an ordinary parking lot space for a Cinco de Mayo celebration of 900 guests, defining a range of Latin-influenced "restaurants" with distinctive culinary offerings + corresponding aesthetics. The remote event space posed unique logistical challenges + would require additional infrastructure planning + execution, as well as limited installation time + intricate collaboration with the resort's food + beverage operation.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
OUR SOLUTION
We quickly determined that a functioning, to-scale diagram would be integral to our operation, + worked diligently in creating our own using Auto CAD, Google Earth + live measurements. Necessities such as lighting, signage + restroom facilities were planned for, ensuring the basics were covered. After thoughtful consideration of the menu, we began the process of identifying six "micro themes" to represent authentic Latin restaurant environments. Following the conceptualization + design phase, an elaborate + precise production schedule was created to manage the over-25 suppliers required to systematically install the large-scale event.
