ROCK THE CASBAH
Guided by the sounds of the Oud + Bendir drums, 100 guests were transported to a remote Arabian equestrian citadel where they were enchanted by the mystifying exoticism of Marrakesh. Within the courtyard walls, a sumptuous star-lit oasis awaited discovery.
Guests dined atop ornate, gilded chairs at long King’s tables draped in an autumnal, rusted sheen linen. At each setting, gold-dipped flatware, an intricate pebbled charger, poppy silk napkin + a raspberry silhouetted menu card contributed to an air of regal formality. Footed compotes overflowed with an exotic abundance of blooms + fresh fruit while the eclectic collection of gilded lanterns + Moroccan tea glass votives casted their golden glow as night fell.
As guests indulged in a seven course North African feast, an array of captivating entertainment vignettes, emerged – a charismatic camel, beguiling snake charmer, Arabian horse show + duo of belly dancers performed against the exotic melodies of a Moroccan band. Once dinner concluded, guests retreated to al fresco lounges where they reclined on plush linen day beds between puffs of hookah + sessions with the tarot card reader.
