ROSE REGALE
Bathed in candlelight + dipped in rose gold, an awards gala for 180 guests flexed + contorted
the boundaries of convention to impart a sense of sumptuous, ethereal decadence. Anchoring the
mink velvet-swaged ballroom stood interconnected, 10’ mirrored-top kings tables – composing a sea
of dramatic repetition reminiscent of old world grandeur. The fanciful baroque detail of the table
legs was modernized by sleek oval-back rose gold Louis chairs with plush alabaster suede cushions.
Atop the tables, metallic mink chargers in a whimsical sputnik shape laid in precise formation. Spanning the king’s tables – a contemporary composition of monochromatic blooms in varied heights of rectangular glass vessels; clustered into like-variety + balanced on their edges in the style of Jeff Leatham’s leaning bouquets. Fringe + parrot tulips, lisianthus, ranunculus, phalaenopsis orchids, roses + hydrangea, all in stark white, were invigorated by exposed green stems.
Glass cylinders enclosed crystal candlesticks with flickering white tapers, conveying
a sense of surrealistic regality. Rose gold votives were tucked within any spare
crevice, their warm glow dancing off the mirrored surfaces with a luminous luster.
