Playful childhood nostalgia + the subtleties of Spring intersect in a decidedly cheerful welcome reception for 200. In a nod to Johnathan Adler’s signature “happy chic” aesthetic, a palette of lemon, tangerine + periwinkle juxtaposed traditional Buffalo check + bold watercolor plaid in “Country Club-meets-Backyard BBQ” finery.
A marriage of modernity + down-home charm was showcased in the event’s every nook + cranny – including an unexpected mix of vintage bistro + banana yellow Eames chairs + spright sky tones on classic picnic tables.
A whimsical composition of Seuss-esque pompom + Billy Ball florals served-up color-bursts in a bevy of mismatched garden pots. Orange tulips + fresh wheatgrass emerge from the center of communal tables – seemingly growing from within. Guests grabbed a spiked lemonade from the 12’ boxwood bar before lounging back in an orange Adirondack as the sherbet sunset took center stage.
